6) Please give a specific example of your leadership in the past
For over 18 years I have lead many large projects, with large groups of employees working for me. I am also a community leader in the Greater Sacramento East Indian community, organizing several cultural and social activities. For example, on August 16th, 2008, I was the lead volunteer of a team of people that made India Day 2008 happen. This event was held at Folsom High from 1-9 p.m. and was attended by more than 1200 people (including speakers like Assembly Member Mr. Dave Jones and retired NBA player Mr. Kevin Johnson). Please see Regional Section of The Sacramento Bee of 8/15 and 8/17. On many occasions I was also interviewed by The Sacramento Bee when organizing cultural activities through a non-profit (non-political) organization that I co-founded.
I analyze situations in terms of problems and solutions and determine how to effectively lead the team in implementing the solution.
7) Please give a specific example of a change agenda you have driven in the past
Change is the only constant that we can count on. I have always fought for change while handling big projects at the State to ensure the plans, resources, and methodologies are current and are not outdated. Change management has been the key to all my projects’ success.
